Just came across this old photo and it makes me laugh. The shot was taken (by the amazing #photographer @kenwynalexander) about 5 years ago when I was #traveling a good bit, but not yet full-time. In other words: pre #magicbackpack & three-outfits-only traveling #aroundtheworld ✈️ Now, when I look at the shot, all I can think is, “My god, I cannot wait to jam my feet into a pair of totally unpractical and uncomfortable shoes again’! 👠 Don’t get me wrong: I love this simplicity of a tiny, backpack wardrobe, BUT...every once in a while, I crave HEELS! 😀 Watch out, y’all, I’m about to break them out again - let’s just hope I don’t break an ankle in the process (it’s been a long time)! :

I can’t be the only person who still gets giddy in #airports, right? I flat-out #love all aspects of flying, especially views on approach like this one yesterday into @iflymia. Yet, I hear so many fellow #travelers complain about #airtravel from security lines to plane food. Sure, I realize the journey isn’t as glamorous as it once was and sometimes the hassles stack up, but we are flapping our wings and FLYING all over the globe, y’all - how amazing is that??? 😍
✈️ So, today, I want to give a big 👍 cheers to @tapairportugal !! Yesterday’s #flight from #malaga to #lisbon then on the #miami was easy breezy perfection. Super friendly personnel, on-time departures, great food and service, fair prices and fees, fair baggage allowance and, most importantly, smooth landings. All around, impressive! 👏👏👏
On a 🔽 note, I gotta give jeers to an #airline that I have often praised. I booked my mom on a flight to visit us in Spain for the first time and, on last week’s return, she missed her connection in #gatwick because of long security lines. @flynorwegian refused to assist in anyway and made her buy a brand new ticket for the next day’s flight. No credits or discounts, just a full price new fare for the next day (which means she had to pay for a hotel, too). Maybe this is standard practice but it’s truly no way to treat loyal customers (or any customers). Okay, rant over.
Still, I love the journey. What about YOU?
