Scenes from Vattaro, Italy

I kept telling myself all day yesterday not to say it out loud. You might jinx it. But, here we are today, safe and sound, in Vattaro, Italy nestled near the Dolomiti; and it was the easiest trip ever. Every flight was on time. Backpacks arrived safely. I didn’t lose anything important, like, um…passports (yes, that has happened twice in transit.) Even the big ass bike box wasn’t as much hassle as we imagined to get through airports and train stations.

We are in our new home for the next two months and it’s everything we hoped and then some. Before arriving, we didn’t have a clue what our budget-friendly, rented apartment would be like. As with most things Italian, it’s over-the-top good.

Oh the irony. It's the largest closet I've ever had in my life and I only have a backpack full of clothes to put in it.
